Shiloh Hospice was established by providers with over 10 years of practice in health care related settings. Our goal is to bridge the gaps in accessibility of quality care at the end-of-life, in and around Chicago. Our interdisciplinary team is made up of highly experienced doctors, nurses, social workers, chaplains, bereavement co-ordinators, hospice aids, and volunteers, who are all experts in palliation, pain management, and patient-centred care. We all work together to provide high-quality care to patients and their families across Cook, Will, and DuPage counties in Illinois.
We pay attention to details in order to provide patient centred care to every individual. Shiloh’s team is equipped to provide hospice and palliative care wherever the patient calls home. This includes private residences and nursing homes, hospitals, or another setting preferred by the patient to enable our service users to maintain their dignity and independence right up to the end of their life. At the heart of everything we do is our understanding of the importance of respect, dignity, and personal preference, especially at the very critical time of end-of-life care. We specialize in symptom control, and strive to ensure that no patient suffers due to symptoms related to their terminal illness. At Shiloh, our mission is to be a fountain of comfort, and support, to our patients and their families in Chicago, and surrounding areas.
Our care is driven by compassion for our patients and their families, and we understand that the care and need of every patient with their family are unique. Testimonials and reviews from the families of those we have cared for evidence the quality of our care, which you can see on our testimonials page. Shiloh’s team focuses in providing patient-centred, and family-focused care to meet the needs of the communities we serve in Chicago. Every care plan at Shiloh is physician led, and professionally carried out according to the wishes of the patient and their loved ones. We promote quality life by promoting comfort, and eliminating suffering related to terminal illness. Ultimately, we uphold and promote dignity, compassion, and respect at the end of life.
Hospice is committed to providing compassionate support for individuals facing terminal illnesses, caring for their physical, mental, and spiritual well-being as they navigate the end of life. Similarly, palliative care shares the same philosophy of comprehensive patient care, extending its services to non-terminal patients, offering them the opportunity to lead longer, happier lives.
