Providing care in all of Cook, Will & DuPage Counties, Illinois

Hospice and Palliative Care Services Chicago Heights

The founders of Shiloh Hospice set up the organization to be a fountain of comfort and support, both for our patients and their loved ones, while we also aim to improve accessibility of hospice and palliative care for the communities of Chicago Heights. Our interdisciplinary team consists of highly experienced doctors, nurses, social workers, chaplains, bereavement co-ordinators, hospice aids, and volunteers. The team is well equipped to provide high-quality hospice and palliative care to patients and their families across Cook, Will, and DuPage counties in Illinois: we provide care wherever the patient calls home.

Our service can be delivered across a variety of settings, from private residences and nursing homes, to hospitals, or wherever best suits the patient. By providing care in the patient’s preferred setting, we ensure that each individual can maintain their dignity and independence, even while going through terminal illnesses. We are proud of our high attention to detail in the formulation and delivery of care at Shiloh. The care that Shiloh provides is physician led and facilitated by our health care professionals according to the specific needs and preferences of the patient, and their loved ones. This approach to end-of-life care enables the development of professional relationships between our team, patients, and their families. We specialize in symptom control, to ensure that no patient suffers from the symptoms of their illness. Shiloh Hospice understands the importance of upholding respect, dignity, and personal preference throughout end-of-life care, and this ethos influences everything we do. Our team are passionate about palliation, pain management, and patient centred care, while we strive to make decisions in the best interests of the service user at every turn.

At Shiloh Hospice, our mission is to be a fountain of comfort, and support, to our patients in Chicago Heights, and in the surrounding areas. The care that we deliver is always given with compassion and driven by our understanding that the needs of every patient with their family will be unique. For evidence of the quality and sensitivity of care delivered by our hospice, please see testimonials and reviews left from the families of those we have cared for on our testimonials page. Through our individualized plan of care, we facilitate comfort, and limit suffering for patients at end of life, while supporting loved ones to cope with grief and bereavement. Working in hospice care is a great honour; we are proud to serve communities, families, and individuals in and around Chicago Heights.
